When you think of the Jersey Shore, the first place your mind probably goes to is the obvious: the beach. Of course, the Jersey Shore offers some of the best beaches along the East Coast. However, these small beach towns also have a lot more to them than just a beach day. From delicious restaurants to family-friendly activities and everything in-between, you’ll never run out of things to do in the area. Read below for all of my top recommendations. FOOD AND DRINK The food and drink scene at the Jersey shore is very underrated. From longtime fan-favorites like The Parker House in Sea Girt to newer additions like Charlies of Bay Head charliesofbayhead.com , there’s no lack of good restaurants along this part of the east coast. Just to mention a few:
Point Lobster (Point Pleasant, NJ)
Bareli’s by the Sea (Spring Lake, NJ)
Spring Lake Seafood (Spring Lake, NJ)
La Mondina (Brielle, NJ)
Blend on Main (Manasquan, NJ)
The Columns (Avon by the Sea, NJ)
Del Ponte’s Pizza & Bakery (Bradley Beach, NJ)
Porta (Asbury Park, NJ)
The options of great places to eat are practically endless here at the Jersey shore. And if you’re just looking for a fun night out, look no further: Bar Anticipation in Lake Como, D’Jais in Belmar, Martell’s Tiki Bar in Point Pleasant, and dozens more allow you to dance the night (or day) away.
SHOPPING
If you love a great boutique, you’re in luck. The towns of Sea Girt, Manasquan, and Point Pleasant Beach offer the cutest shops, where you can find anything from a new outfit to adorable home decor. A few of our favorites include:
Waterlily - Women’s Clothing Boutique (Bay Head, Sea Girt, Manasquan)
Stella e Luna - Home Decor, Jewelry, and Clothing (Point Pleasant)
Sunshine Daydream - Women’s Accessories and Clothing (Point Pleasant)
Inlet Outlet Surf Shop - Surf Shop (Manasquan)
Village Tweed - Men’s Clothing Store (Sea Girt)
EXERCISE
While you might not love the idea of exercising on vacation, these options will make you want to. You can go and visit the Inlet Yoga Studio in Manasquan, which offers both studio and beach yoga classes. There’s also Modern Pilates Studio in Manasquan as well or you can join yoga on the rooftop of The Asbury Hotel. If yoga and pilates isn’t your thing, but Barre is, there’s a Pure Barre located right in Spring Lake.
If classes aren’t what you’re looking for, there are dozens of public tennis and basketball courts in the area, where you can fine tune some skills while also having lots of fun.
Last, but certainly not least, are the golf courses. Take a swing at the Shipwreck Island Mini Golf in Bradley Beach or the Bel-Aire Golf Course in Wall to spend some great time on the green.
FAMILY-FRIENDLY FUN
One of the best parts about the Jersey Shore is how family friendly it is. Your kids will love going to Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant, whether it’s to ride the rides, win some games at the arcade, play mini golf, or watch the weekly Thursday night firework show right on the beach.
If your kids are more into the water than the land, you can easily visit one of the many water sport rentals along the coast. Whether you’re looking to paddle board at sunset or jet ski the day away, there will be no lack of fun family time at any of the local locations.
ICE CREAM
I scream, you scream, everyone screams for ice cream! Luckily, some of the best ice cream you’ll ever have is right in the area. Try out any of these to satisfy your sweet tooth:
Hoffman’s Ice Cream (Multiple Locations)
Sundae Times (Spring Lake, NJ)
Surfside Frozen Custard (Sea Girt, NJ)
This list is just a snippet of what the Jersey Shore has to offer other than their beaches. Visit my website to learn more from The Shore’s true local expert! If you liked this content, be sure to check out the rest of my blogs for more real estate information.
